The outcome wasn't really affected by whether it was a "red card" tackle as Jags was sent off (seemingly) for preventing a goal-scoring opportunity by fouling the player. Had it been in a different area of the pitch, or if the player hadn't been right through on goal then Jags would/should have got a yellow for the "foul" if it was indeed a foul.
